A Day In Your Life
Armed with a good understanding of the product from training, you will build a sales pipeline by developing relationships with local businesses. We will show you how. You will make their life easier by selling a payment and loyalty solution that turns their small enterprise into the heartbeat of the block. Over 3 million merchants use us because our products are good. This is going to require research however, and cold calling, and knocking on doors, and above all empathy and kindness for your customer’s needs. 
The Role You Would Fill

<li>Use our CRM to track performance and ensure communication and success.</li>

<li>Reliable transportation</li>

What you will do?

<li>You serve as an advisor and SumUp brand ambassador to our merchants</li>
<li>Have a proven track record to mentor, empower and educate merchants on our suite of products and the value they bring to the merchant’s business</li>
<li>You thoroughly understand our expansive technology behind the products that empower millions of merchants every day, as well as understand competing products offered in the marketplace</li>
<li>Consistently meet and exceed success metrics, including revenue and retention Able to connect with our customers through phone, email, and chat to ensure their satisfaction and utilization of their current SumUp products</li>
<li>Research and resolve any simple inquiries and issues that are brought to your attention when speaking to merchants</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for merchants to consume additional products and services</li>
<li>Successfully upsell merchants with additional products that will help fuel growth to their business and properly manage the entire sales cycle within our Salesforce system</li>
<li>You contribute to the scalability by continuously optimizing processes and help to create new content for our support and Account Management experience</li>
<li>Expand your knowledge about the payments industry, as you closely work together with other departments within the company, such as Marketing,Save Desk, CX, Product, Sales, Logistics, and Risk & Compliance</li>
<li>Help report on any themed merchant issues or opportunities with our products</li>
<li>Continuously identify and recommend areas to improve efficiency to leadership and assist global teams with their potential launches of upsell activities</li>
</ul>

<li>You are able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities</li>
<li>You have previous experience in customer service, account management, or relationship/partner management(within a call center environment) or client services (SMB)</li>
<li>Strong desire to achieve top results with a personable, positive “can-do” demeanor with a consistent record of success in a sales environment.</li>

Who you are: 
SumUp is seeking a dynamic and engaging Field Sales Trainer to join the SumUp team in either our Denver or Boulder office. You will join the Sumup Learning and Development team while supporting the growing US field sales team, The Field Sales Trainer will be running outside sales onboarding for new reps as well as traveling to various field sales locations to assist with ramping reps and facilitating upskilling trainings. The ideal candidate should have good teamwork and interpersonal skills, be a self- starter, and be able to navigate change with a positive attitude. This candidate should have experience both in presenting sales trainings and being in an outside sales rep role. 
This role is based out of one of the three Sumup offices with the expectation of being in office 5 days/week unless traveling. This role will require up to 80% travel to various locations.
What you’ll do:
<ul>
<li>Quickly learn Sumup products, processes, teams, and adult learning best practices</li>
<li>Run 2 week in-person onboarding program for new outside sales reps including coordinating new joiner access setup, facilitating live training sessions, grading self-paced work, working with sales managers to certify and provide feedback on reps, and roleplaying to practice with reps</li>
<li>Identify areas of opportunity to improve onboarding program and assist with upkeep of training materials</li>
<li>Facilitate technical and soft skill upskilling trainings for various teams based on performance needs</li>
<li>Assist with ramping reps by working with sales leadership to determine areas of opportunity for reps, conducting field ride-alongs, giving feedback, and coming up with effective training activities</li>
<li>Build strong relationships with both the sales teams and Learning and Development (L&D) team</li>
<li>Assist the L&D team as necessary with building and facilitating trainings, updating resources and documentation, and identifying training opportunities</li>
</ul>
What we're looking for:
<ul>
<li>1-3 years experience delivering trainings AND 3-5 years experience in a sales role</li>
<li>Ability to travel up to 100%</li>
<li>Dynamic and engaging speaker</li>
<li>Good teamwork and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Willingness to learn & self starter</li>
<li>Adaptability in navigating new situations</li>
