WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Customer Engagement: Interact with customers through various channels (email, phone, chat) to offer comprehensive support and guidance.  </li>

Personalized Assistance: Become a trusted advisor by understanding each customer's unique needs and recommending tailored insurance solutions. Your ability to empathize and offer personalized advice will empower customers to make informed decisions. </li>
<li>
Sales and Renewal Support: Recognize opportunities to promote additional insurance products or policy upgrades based on customers' needs. Make recommendations to help customers navigate their policy renewal as seamlessly as possible by re-shopping their policy in our marketplace. </li>
<li>
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional and external teams, including sales, underwriters, quoting specialists, and more, to resolve customer inquiries efficiently. </li>
<li>
Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach.</li>

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 
<ul>
<li>
Insurance Experience: 1-2 years of P&C experience; P&C license required </li>
<li>
Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Your ability to actively listen, empathize, and articulate solutions will be key in delivering top-notch service. </li>
<li>
Customer-Centric Mindset: A genuine passion for assisting others and a commitment to putting the customer first are crucial attributes for success in this role. </li>
<li>
Sales Acumen: An understanding of sales principles and the ability to identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell insurance products will be advantageous. </li>
<li>
Eagerness to Learn: While prior experience in insurance is beneficial, a willingness to learn and grow within the industry is equally valuable. A Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.</li>

WHO YOU ARE:
Our Case Management team facilitates a seamless client experience through the underwriting process for all life insurance applicants. Supported by advanced technology platforms, internal counterparts, outside vendors, and, of course, insurance carriers themselves, the team ensures that there are no bumps in the road throughout the process from submission of initial application to placement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
<ul>
<li>Own and manage an individual caseload of in-process life insurance applications, beginning with creating and sending the application to the client and continuing through underwriting in-force</li>
<li>Request and obtain underwriting requirements from the client and take initiative to review underwriting decisions to determine if better options exist for our customers</li>
<li>Master all carrier workflows, application and underwriting processes, and software systems necessary to carry out your responsibilities</li>
<li>Collaborate on cross-functional projects with other operations teams (sales, customer service, customer success, and quality assurance) to ensure a seamless and transparent customer experience and improve our processes </li>
</ul>
WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 
<ul>
<li>Willingness to obtain a life insurance license </li>
<li>1+ years’ work experience in life insurance case management</li>
<li>A customer-centered mindset -- motivated by solving problems for customers and your team</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and effective listening skills with an attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to provide and receive actionable feedback that will help drive efficiency and best-in-class customer experience</li>
<li>You can organize and prioritize your workload to ensure each case is processed, issued, and placed in a timely manner</li>

Life Insurance Sales at Policygenius... Tired of cold calling and building a book of business before applying your insurance subject matter expertise? Our Life Insurance Sales Associate role is on the front lines of the Policygenius customer experience: managing all inbound leads via phone for prospective life insurance customers, and ensuring they get the coverage they need (and feel good about the process)! Our sales team thrives on collaboration, creative competitions, and thoughtful communication with customers as we drive a positive, tech-enhanced experience in an industry typically known for being old-school and paper-based. With high earnings potential for our top performers and an incredibly collaborative environment, this team is perfect for someone who is competitive but eager to have a supportive team around them.
Base salary for a successful applicant in this role is expected to be $50,000-$60,000 per year. Top performers can earn $175,000 or more in total compensation after training. Employees can also expect generous benefits. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as location, experience and expertise.
