About the Program

Synovus offers summer internships for high-performing rising juniors and seniors. The internships typically last 10 weeks and are very hands-on, offering interns the opportunity to gain relevant skills, participate in and lead assignments, work alongside senior professionals, and be an integral part of the Synovus team. About the Company

Synovus has roots dating to 1888, when a textile mill in Georgia began securing its workers’ hard-earned savings in the company vault. The first worker the firm helped was a young woman whose money spilled from the hem of her dress after becoming entangled in machinery. All these years later, that drive to help others still runs deep. It guides every decision Synovus makes, from the services it constantly innovates to the company culture it builds.

Intern Reviews

  • “Synovus is very flexible when it comes to working from home and working in the office. The culture is one that is inviting and very supportive. I am required to work 40 hours a week and have the option to stay home three of the five days.”
  • “I did not expect everyone to be so willing to meet and help me. The culture is advertised as great, and I think that it is better than advertised. The work hours were very fair. I was able to get the day off if I desperately needed it, so they were flexible in that regard. As far as work/life balance, whenever I clocked out in the afternoon, I was not expected to stress about work until I clocked back in the next morning.”
  • “Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and willing to help with everything. I have been able to learn a multitude of new [things] and have enjoyed my time. Synovus has a unique and amazing culture that I have grown to love. I work around 40 hours a week and have a good work-life balance.”
  • “Great work/life balance, not just for interns but for full-time employees as well, and great working culture.”

Getting Hired Here

  • “The hiring process was very simple and straightforward, which I enjoyed. There was an online application that was very clear and led to one screening call and one interview. As someone who has a hard time with interviewing, I felt very at ease throughout the entire process, which I really appreciated.”
  • “Going into interviews is always a little stressful, but the people at Synovus make you feel welcome, and that stressed feeling leaves right away.”
  • “There was one official interview and a phone screening. I was kept up to date on each step of the process and received an offer very quickly. The recruitment team and HR were responsive to emails and kept me in the loop.”
