Intern Reviews

  • “At Abbott, the culture fosters a welcoming environment where colleagues readily offer assistance and support. My team encourages exploration and networking across various departments. I typically maintain a 40-hour workweek, and my team is accommodating of remote work when needed.”
  • “Our housing is less than 10 minutes from the site, and my manager is adamant that I don’t work much overtime. Everyone around the office is easy to talk to and happy to share about their work or other involvements. The site also has a Social Crew that plans major events for the site throughout the year (like a rodeo we had on a Friday in my second week!), and some of the teams will use the onsite pickleball or volleyball courts at the end of a workday. Plenty of them have also made recommendations for things to do in the area.”
  • “The work environment has been incredible at the site I am at. Everyone has been extremely helpful and supportive in helping me grow. I am not afraid to ask questions at my site. I work the standard 40 hours per week, and my manager has been very supportive of a healthy work/life balance.”
  • “Interns work normal 40-hour work weeks. My manager (and most others from asking around) is flexible with intern work schedules and the ability to take days off or work remotely when needed.  The culture at my site is excellent. I have seen multiple site bonding events and intern welcome/social events in my short time here. Additionally, the people I interact with are generally kind to interns.”

Getting Hired Here

  • “The interviewers were extremely kind and compassionate. They asked me some questions about my resume, but they really wanted to get to know me for who I am. And I really appreciated that because I am more than my resume.”
  • “The interview process was very straightforward, and I got clear responses back in a very timely matter. The interviewer was very nice and personable and didn't come off as trying to intimidate me.”
  • “I thought the interview process was fair and well executed. I utilized career fairs and networking nights to meet with other employees and the interview team. The interview was all behavioral, which I believe is fair.”
  • “The interview process for this role was very relaxing, and it felt like they were rooting for me from the start. Everyone was open to hearing about my background and discussing with me how it could benefit Abbott.”
